The Camp setting is in the Absaroka Mountain range, adjacent to the Shoshone National Forest, located in Hot Springs County, approximately 18 miles west of Grass Creek. The facility includes a main lodge, which contains a kitchen, fireplace and large recreational hall and bathhouse. The outdoor recreational facilities include beaver ponds for fishing, rifle and archery ranges, game areas (volleyball, open ball field, etc) Hiking and trail riding are also possible in the surrounding area.
The H Diamond W camp is owned jointly by the Hot Springs County and Washakie 4-H Councils and is administered by a Board of Directors that includes 3 leaders from each county. It is operated as a non-profit camp that provides an off-the-grid wilderness experience.
